EDGE troubleshooting - failure to download, node not present or responding

Symptom: 

  • Download fails
  • Node not present or not responding
  • RTU failed to accept data

 


 

Solution: 

  1. Verify EDGE is powered on and heartbeat light is blinking.
  2. Verify cabling is correct. EDGE serial ports are DTE requiring only receive (pin 2), transmit (pin 3), and ground (pin5).
  3. If more than one node is in the system, verify that node 1 is working and connected.
  4. Place EDGE in default mode and retry the download.
